The Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 DJ Mixer is the second generation of the industry standard 12-inch table-top mixer. With improvements in every department - including a major digital signal processing upgrade, additional effects and enhanced control, an all new send/return configuration which features a ground breaking iOS integration, audio interface enhancements, new gain staging and metering, fader enhancements and more.

64-bit Digital Signal Processing
With 64-bit signal processing the DJM-900NXS2 is in a league of it's own, delivering a warm detailed sound that also benefits from a new power supply that eliminates unwanted noise in the audio chain. The 96kHZ/24-bit soundcard and direct digital connection is capable of high-res audio reproduction supplying greater depth and colour. It's not just the digital signal path that's had an overhaul – the 900NXS2 also features a new phono amp circuit improving the analogue signal path.
Enhanced FX control
Pioneer's DJM-900NXS2 now boasts the most complete on-board FX section of any mixer we've seen with enhancements to the Sound Colour FX section, Beat FX and the all new independent Send/Return.
The Sound Colour FX benefit from an all new parameter control pot and the increase in size of these controls offer enhanced control. In addition to this the Gate/Comp FX has been replaced with the new Sweep FX.
Following on from the Sound Colour enhancements Pioneer have overhauled the Beat FX section adding new FX (Ping Pong, Vinyl Brake, Helix, Pitch), improving the staple Reverb FX and adding frequency selectable FX control - want to apply reverb to the high end only without muddying the lows? Now you can! In addition to this the X-Pad is now larger and the OLED screen improves the visual interaction with the mixer, we should also point out that there is now a Beat FX channel selection LED to provide at a glance indication for which channel(s) you're applying the FX to.
The final addition to the enhanced DJM-900NXS2 FX section is potentially game changing independent Send/Return, game changing that is due to the addition of USB connectivity enabling InterApp support allowing the use of FX/Instrument apps on your iPad – the first supported product is the RMX-1000 app.
Improved Mix Control
To facilitate smoother mixes Pioneer have improved the DJM-900 NXS2 volume and frequency controls. Improvements have been made to the channel fader curves to offer greater precision and control and the EQ section boasts even greater accuracy across the low, mid and high frequency bands. In addition to the a redesigned gain structure reduces the potential for signal levels to become hot and the new peak limiter minimises distortion.
Unrivalled Connectivity
With two USB ports, four Phono inputs and DVS support the Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 offers total flexibility for use in the booth – you now have total freedom to mix audio from the source of your choice. The 900 NXS2 also offers the ability to use Pro DJ Link over LAN or USB for the connection of up to 4 players sharing one source.
The booth ready build quality is a clear indication that Pioneer designed the DJM-900NXS2 for the rigours of professional use with the inclusion of a Magvel crossfader offering enhanced durability. There are also Gold-plated RCAs for premium sound quality and both quarter inch and 3.5mm stereo jack connections for headphone monitoring.
