April was certainly another busy month for Audio Source with sound equipment being hired out all over Cornwall and even into Devon. 

Easter weekend was busy with dj equipment being hires out at The Watermans Pub, Falmouth, The Ritz in Penzance, The Cornubia in Hayle and even some decor work for a nightclub in Teignmouth South Devon and their 10K VOID Arcline rig and dj equipment for a club in Exeter.

The following weekend saw another appearance for the 10K VOID Arcline rig along with the CDJ 2000′s and a lighting rig at a club in Penzance.  The month finished off with dj equipment being hired out for a wedding and sound equipment and the Star cloth being hired by the university for their Tremough Games 2012 event.

They also made an addition to their marquee selection, purchased this month a 9m x 12m Roder Marquee, with the traditional linings and curtains, full details on the website under the ‘equipment’ section.  There are already bookings in place for the hire of the marquee. More photos of the marquee in use will be posted soon.

In between all these jobs that had an installation for all the sound and dj equipment at the newest nightclub in Falmouth, Mama Africa’s (the old Shades Nightclub).

May is also set to be busy with hiring out dj and sound equipment to the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club for the finale of the Finn Sailing Festival in the Events Square Falmouth.  The equipment will also be hired out for the Olympic Torch Relay event that is coming to Falmouth on 19th May.

The end of May will see Audio Source hiring out marquees, staging, pa system, sound equipment and dj equipment for the annual garden party at the University.

August is the month that the people of West Cornwall get creative and construct rafts to race off the beautiful beach at Praa Sands.  Last year the event was blessed with wall to wal sunshine and the beach was covered in weird and wonderful vessels all hoping to make the journery,  Either side of the race the competitors, supporters and beachgoers were kept entertained with the sounds of local bands generated through Audio Source’s 5K VOID Arcline rig.  Staging and a marquee were also in place on the beach for the event.

Combining convenient MP3 compatibility, a fast folder search facility, enhanced presentation of track/wave data and an improved jog wheel with adjustable traction, the MK3′s are designed to deliver the most advantageous digital DJ experience.

VOID VFL – The new VOID Arcline VLF (Very Low Frequency) is a crazy little sub that is designed to play 30 – 50Hz to fill in the sub undernesth the twin 15″ VOID Arcline X units.  Despite its size this little sub has 2 x 21″ drivers inside with a total AES power rating of 4Kw.  Put together with Audio Source’s 20k rig and you are looking at producing some serious sound up to 60k.  This piece of equipment will make you change the way you look at music.

Impluse 4T – The Impulse 4t is the ideal solution for small to medium size system operators. Like its bigger brother, the Impulse 4t comes equipped with multiple flying points, top hats and is suitable for use as a foldback monitor on either Stasys or Impulse systems.

Many smaller venues and theatres also use the Impulse 4t for their Front of House system. The compact dimensions and high output have given these venues a level of sound quality they never thought possible.

The use of carefully selected components and a well designed crossover enables the Impulse 4t to have a frequency response free from any peaks or resonances. This provides higher than average output levels before feedback would normally occur.

February was the month they celebrated their 2nd birthday and what better way than with a warehouse party. The location of the venue was kept a secret until a few hours beforehand when it was announced on their Facebook page.

Audio Source transformed an ordinary warehouse into the perfect party venue. On the night the air outside was cold but inside was a different matter altogether.  The 300 strong crowd were entertained for 6 hours by the exceptional house music being played through Audio Source’s 10k VOID Arcline rig and as a vibrant light show filled the room, the 4 custom made ‘light to beat’ hanging lanterns added uniqueness to the event, whilst the LED Dancefloor created some subdued lighting in the 4 corners of the room.

There was even a cake made by my own fair hands, it’s not a proper party without cake.  A truely memorable night.  Were you there? Have you seen the guys in Falmouth would love to hear your comments.

Pop Clique 2nd Birthday party February 2012

2012 has been a busy year so far for Audio Source, they kicked off the year hiring out equipment to numerous venues in Falmouth, Penzance and even Teignmouth in Devon and February was equally busy with them supporting ‘Pop Clique’s’ 2^nd birthday with a warehouse party. They then sound engineered for the ‘Annie Mac in Falmouth’ event where 1200 people were tranced to the sounds being generated from some of Audio Source’s finest equipment a 20K VOID Arcline rig and they even had time to install a microphone and speaker system into one of the churches in Falmouth. As well as all this they were also busy hiring out equipment around Falmouth including their LED Dancefloor to celebrate one of Audio Source’s longest customer’s 4^th anniversary.  

March got off to a flying start with an awards event that was held at the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth, with Audio Source supplying them with staging, a 5k VOID Arcline rig, wireless microphone system, lighting and their favourite the Star Cloth backdrop.  The guys then decided it was time for a well earned rest and a chance to recharge their batteries ready for the months to come, they took a holiday and on their return they were straight back into it with an install at one of the Bar’s in Falmouth.

As well as all that they have been busy adding to their stock of  dj equipment that is available to hire, the latest items are CDJ 2000’s, CDJ Mk3’s, VLF VOID and            Impulse 4 T’s x 4.

Audio Source were asked on behalf of the Eden project to provide stage, sound and lighting hire for the X-Fest 2011 skate competition. A great day was had by all and the level competition was very high.
